Dr. Walter Krawiec has been a student of the martial arts
for almost forty years. He has trained under:
Grandmaster Peter Urban, in U.S.A. Goju (where he
currently holds the rank of 8th degree Black Belt)
Master Mike Wollmershauser in Hapkido (where he currently
holds the rank of 6nd degree Black Belt from both the American Teachers of the Martial
Arts and the International Federation of Ju Jutsuans)
Master Mark Ferriolli in Zen Philosophy and (where he
holds a Black Belt in Temeshiwari)
Master Fred Stahl in Amdo Self-Defense
Mr. Rob Mc Cloud in Shotokan Karate.
For the past twenty-nine years, he has been the head
instructor and owner of the USA Hapkido (originally known as American Falcon Hapkido) Karate-do in Clifton, New Jersey. At his
dojo, he specializes in working with young children and handicapped children, teens and
adults. During this time, he has been recognized by the American Hapkido Association,
been listed in Whos Who in the Martial Arts, Who's Who in Karate International, and
has demonstrated at that the Oriental World of Self Defense, held in New York City.
Dr. Krawiec holds a B.A. and M.A. from Montclair State University, Montclair, New Jersey
in history and anthropology and a Doctorate from Walden University, in Minneapolis,
Minnesota in history education. When he is not at the dojo, he is an Assistant Principal
in the Wayne Township Public School System in Northern New Jersey.
The remainder of his time is spent with his family; his daughter Cindi and son Richard who
is also an instructor at the dojo.
